Adults, lets learn to sew!

Have you always wanted to alter your badly fitting apparel, fix broken zippers, or even make your own skirts, dresses or pants? This class is your you! In this 8 week beginner sewing class, you will learn how to use a sewing machine while creating a binder of skills that you will be able to take home and reference whenever you are sewing and in need of specific skills. In class, you will learn new skills creating samples that will go in your binder along with written step by step instructions. By the end of this 8 week session, you will know how to sew different types of zippers, how to make pleats, shear, sew darts, pockets, and so much more. You do not need any sewing experience for this class.

We are located at 379 Wiese Albert Rd. Higganum CT.

This is an 8 week class on Wednesdays from 6-8. The schedule is as follows: February 5th, 12th, March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, April 2nd, 9th.

Please bring to class a 1 1/2″ binder as well as clear sheet protectors to put your instructions and samples in.

If you have a group that would. like to have private classes, please contact us.

Please note: In order to allow for personal instruction, the class only allows 7 participants.

*An email confirmation will be sent once you have signed up. Attached in the email will be a waiver to participate in activities on the farm. If you have not signed a waiver for the 2024 calendar year, please fill out, sign and bring it on the first day of class. (Please include all persons that will be on the farm including adults and siblings not participating.)

*Please note that our class size has a Max of 7 participants. Signing up for this class reserves your space for the class. Because of this, we do not refund any portion of tuition in the event that you are unable to attend a class.
